The Chiefs play the New York Giants in Week 8, and Andy Reid is certainly hoping his team will show the same fight they had against the Titans. It also didn’t help that star quarterback Patrick Mahomes had to exit the game midway through the fourth quarter, which basically killed all the Chiefs’ hopes of erasing the 24-point gap at that point. Unfortunately, the Titans defense was just too much to handle for the struggling squad. They tried hard to get back into the game, knowing a comeback wasn’t impossible.
Indeed, the Chiefs can hold their heads high despite the defeat. That, again, comes back to what you’ve got coaches and what you’ve got in the locker room. We’ve been able to do that, and so we’ve got to keep urgency up in practice and the right frame of mind when we’re playing the game to get that done.
